ADS11
ADS11 will participate in the 11th Arquiteturas Film Festival in Porto with the installation Political Ecologies of Toxicity. Created within the ADS11 studio Forever Chemicals at the Royal College of Art, the works exhibited explore the spatial politics of contamination and the persistent presence of synthetic pollutants across environments and borders. Through research, filmmaking, and critical design, they reflect on how architecture might respond to toxicity as a condition that reshapes bodies, ecologies, and built environments.
The exhibition is developed by tutors and students from ADS11 (RCA MA Architecture) for Arquiteturas Film Festival 2024.

ADS11 will participate in Bienal'25 Fotografia do Porto with the exhibition The Extraterritoriality of Toxicity. Using the Douro River as a case study, the exhibition explores the river as a fluid archive - a carrier of memory and living systems shaped by post-natural relations. It presents research into anthropogenic toxicity and its effects on human and more-than-human bodies, tracing the narratives, regulatory frameworks, and ownership regimes that sustain toxic landscapes and their diffuse impacts on ecologies and architectures.
The exhibition is curated by curated by LOCUMENT (Francisco Lobo & Romea Muryń), in collaboration with Christopher Sejer Fischlein.
